    The largest gathering of Quebec-Japan business people in Quebec took place this year on ZOOM.

    Despite the extraordinary situation due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we have kept the tradition of doing our Kampai “from distance”. Participants from Quebec, Ontario, the US and even Japan joined us to celebrate this New Year virtually.

    Thank you to the professionals of Japanese culinary culture in Montreal who animated the event through video performances : Mr. Hideyuki Imaizumi (Marusan), Ms. Reina Sakao (Sakao Enterprise – O Japanese Tea) and the sake sommelier, Ms. Kuniko Fujita.

    The Quebec-Japan Business Personality of the Year was awarded to Mr. Yuichiro Kaneko, CEO of Uniqlo Canada Inc., which opened its first Quebec branch in fall 2020.
